APRIL - joseph charroy

April 2010, while passing through Brussels, I find a set of photographs in the rubbish bins on the Place du jeu de balle after the flea market. Old photographs on paper (the digital revolution unfortunately doesn't leave anything in the dustbins anymore). No indication, neither of date nor of place. But a house, isolated in the woods. A family has settled there, a young couple with a child, a cat, rabbits. They are smiling, happy, enjoying this life in the countryside, the simple, everyday pleasures. April 2020, we are all confined, uncertainty reigns, I continue to look at these photographs.
